Martyna joined Scientific Reports in February 2023 after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, where she developed novel, information theoretical metrics for assessing perceptual uncertainty in human and animal models of hallucinations. Her research was focused on vascular biology. She obtained her PhD from Imperial College London, UK and undertook postdoctoral work at King’s College London, UK. She obtained her PhD in Physics at Heriot-Watt University, UK her research was in semiconductor detector physics. Silvia joined Scientific Reports in March 2021, after being a Research Fellow at the University of Sussex for 5 years. He also has a background in immunology and transplantation genetics following his PhD at Anthony Nolan Research Institute. Will joined Scientific Reports in November 2022 after completing a post-doctoral position at UCL investigating the genetics of clathrin-mediated membrane trafficking. His interests include palaeontology, functional morphology, biomechanics, phylogenetics, ecology and biodiversity. He joined Scientific Reports in 2021 after completing a PhD on the evolution of the dinosaur hand at the Natural History Museum and University College London. João has a background in biodiversity and population genetics from the University of Porto, Portugal. She joined Scientific Reports in 2019 after a PhD at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute in Cambridge, UK and post-doctoral work at the Francis Crick Institute in London, UK. Madushi’s background is in biochemistry and molecular biology. Over her eleven years in research, she worked on understanding telomere biology and has experience in cell, molecular and developmental biology. She has a PhD in Microbiology from University of Aberdeen, UK and worked as an EMBO postdoctoral Fellow at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, Portugal. ORCID 0000-0001-5083-5936 Deputy Editor: Akila SridharĪkila joined Scientific Reports in September 2022 after working for four years with BMC Series Journals as a Senior Editor. Her interests lie in materials for energy applications and deep earth geochemistry. Prior to this she completed a PhD in Earth Sciences at the University of Cambridge, UK in igneous petrology and mantle geochemistry.
